• 1) Are the workers coming to Canada legally?
    Yes, Employment Lab works with the Canadian Federal Government and all the candidates have to be approved and pass a series of checks before entering Canada.
  • 2) Do the foreign workers need a work visa to work in Canada? Yes, they come to Canada with a temporary work permit which is equivalent to a work visa. This Permit is issued by the Canadian Government and allows the worker to gain a social insurance number.
  • 3) How long can the foreign workers work in Canada for?
    With a temporary work permit, the worker can generally work in Canada for two years. However, some highly skill candidates can get clearance to stay longer.
  • 4) How long does it take for a candidate to be processed and be working in Canada?
    The length of time from the start of the process until the candidate successfully land in Canada is generally 4 to 6 months.
  • 5) What will happen to the candidate if he or she does not work out in their new position in Canada?
    Employment Lab guarantees that if the foreign worker does not work out within the first 75 days, for whatever reason, we will source another candidate at Employment Lab's expense ( including travel).
  • 6) Will the foreign candidate be able to speak English? If English is required for the specific job, Employment Lab will recruit a candidate that will be able to speak English. Generally this is not a problem since the Philippines used to be a USA colony.
